Mark Bloomer

Mark started his musical career as a drummer in several Birmingham-based punk, Indie and psychedelic rock outfits including Drop and international chart-toppers Babylon Zoo.

In search of a more roots based music and a desire to discover folk music he took two week holiday in Ireland which ended up lasting about 4 years..

On moving to Ireland he became a stalwart guitarist on the Cork session scene and developed a repertoire of traditional tunes and striking songs before hitting the road once more to travel Europe and apply his trade, ending up in Germany where he is now based.

His love and passion for music has lead to Mark enjoying a long career playing in many different bands covering a wide range of styles, from  psychedelic punk to Klezmer to the traditional music of the British Isles and even still has time to peruse his first love drums, which he now teaches.
