Broom Bezzums have won an important German music prize. Today it was announced that the band’s current CD, No Smaller Than the World, received the German Record Critics’ Award in the Singer-Songwriter/Folk category.
The Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik website states that, “Its mission is to provide producers, composers, artists and music lovers with an honest guide to new releases of true artistic significance.” and strives to “remain independent from the commercial interests of the production companies”.
Broom Bezzums are extremely pleased to have been recognised in this way and are very thankful to engineer and co-producer Jürgen Treyz for helping to bring the band’s ideas to fruition.
No Smaller Than the World features singer Katie Doherty as a third member and has a host of guest appearances from the likes of Gudrun Walther and Jürgen Treyz (Cara), Keike Faltings (Kalüün), Ian Stephenson and Andy May (Baltic Crossing) and many more.
